Summertime is Here.

Many years ago when I first lived in the North Country, the winters were really cold . I remember the locals had a saying we have two seasons: “Winter and the 4th of July.”  Well, welcome to our second season. The summer bite is just getting started!  If it wasn’t for the high water, I believe we would be in full swing. There are just many more place for the bass to hang out.  That being said,  some areas are producing very well:  Main Lake banks around the Champlain Island are on fire with fish starting to school up. The North end is slow. Ti is moderate. Largemouth love to move to the banks in high water areas. Over all, I am averaging 40 to 50 fish a day on guide trips. Here are some Pics from recent trips:

Just got back from LK. Champ. Fished from the paper factory to Putnam and the fishing was sub-par from what I am use to. Fished from Monday To Friday with Tuesday being the best. Biggest fish was 5.7 with a couple of fours then the wind turned from the south and Putnam died. Water muddied up and that was it. Struggled the rest of the week. Good luck to everyone and hope to get back soon.
